Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
Introduction
All processing runs locally in your browser. No data leaves your device.
Introduction
Sort Feed ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our browser extension and website.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
You can install from the Chrome Web Store. If you create a Lonkin account, we store the email and authentication data needed to run your account.
Automatically Collected Information
When you visit our website, we may collect:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Pages visited and time spent
- Referring website
Extension Data & Permissions
The Sort Feed extension processes data locally in your browser. Host permissions are limited to supported Instagram and TikTok pages so sorting and downloads can run on-page. We do not:
- Upload your sorted or downloaded content to our servers
- Collect your Instagram or TikTok login credentials
- Require a Lonkin account to use core sorting features
- Send your browsing history to third parties for ad targeting
Sensitive Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect account passwords, authentication credentials, cookies, private messages, or other sensitive information that is not necessary to provide our services.
How We Use Information
We use the limited information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain our website and extension
- Verify access entitlements when account features are enabled
- Improve user experience
- Analyze anonymous usage patterns
- Respond to support requests
Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect information related to our website. Sorting and related processing run locally in your browser — we do not store your Instagram or TikTok feed content on our servers. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services for website analytics, authentication (such as Google sign-in), and payment. These providers have their own privacy policies and do not receive your downloaded or sorted media files.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
